You build your history based on the knowledge that when you choose someone you give them your most precious thing.
Yourself. Wholly.
There is just about nothing else a living breathing person could ever gift more to someone.
Is the thing you give to your family, is the 5ing you give to your children.
Donating life, your life is no small thing. Is everything you could ever give and you give it with trust that it is kept as lovingly as you keep theirs.
Betrayal means finding out that while your gift was encouraged and consumed, it matters little to nothing for as it was regarded by your cheater.
It gets discarded, soiled and destroyed without a second thought for a trivial and dirty act that is undeserving of any value. Is just greasy, self indulgent sordid behavior.
And that’s what was valued above the greatest gift you ever had to give another human being.
The day you find out in full, not just in feelings, while is not the day all was destroyed, is the day when the ground disappears for you and you find yourself in a wasteland made of putrid waters, a swamp full of stench and corruption.
That’s what your inner garden of Eden was turned into, that’s the respect for your greatest gift.
Of course revisiting the date is uneasy, it is a reminder of it all, you may try to clean up the corruption of the swamp and you may very well succeed at it.
But this very act is a reminder that you gifted your garden and it was turned into a swamp. Ruthlessly.
And by the person who still expect you to owe them your greatest gift again.
You not only have to endure that, but you owe them silence of any reminder of just what they are capable of and willing to do at the cost of your gifted life.
Realizing that, repaints every memory with the stench of betrayal, is a corruption that tarnish all, not only your body and spirit, but every memory you built while the stench was allowed in secretly into your life, gets corrupted forever.
It wouldn’t be normal if you didn’t feel this way.
You have a claim to reclaim what was yours and demand accountability
