I am having to have a back tooth out tomorrow and I am really afraid. I was told that they would give me Tylenol mixed with advil for pain.
Any tips or tricks?
I have heard no dairy after.
My extraction is 2pm.
I am having my own blood taken and spun and injected to rebuild bone for an implant.

Is the tooth being extracted by a regular dentist or an oral surgeon.
I've had two teeth taken out, just had a dental implant put in.
Neither of my two extractions was really painful, both MDs gave me a few pain pills, I didn't take them, just took Ibuprofen.
You can eat the same day, soft, liquidey foods, nothing hot, no sipping on a straw for at least two weeks if I recall.
I drove myself both times, second tooth extracted was done by a top oral surgeon in the area, I was in and out of the seat in 30 minutes, most time waiting for the anesthesia to work. He did such a great job, I didn't even know he pulled it. Not much bleeding, just kept the gauze in my mouth for a couple of hours until the bleeding stopped.
I was full of anxiety, too, but for me there really was nothing to it, especially the second tooth.

My husband had one pulled about a year ago, due to having a broken, nonviable tooth. He was sore for a week, but we alternated tylenol, and motrin for that time. He was swollen and had antibiotics due to a minor infection.

My situation has healed really well. I appreciate the mojo, prayers and encouragement.
There were complications during due to how serious my issue was relating to old root canal. But had x-rays this week and the stem cells appear to be taking.
I am super grateful I chose the place I did and trusted my gut with not having it done at another place. I am learning to trust my intuition. Onward and upward to getting the implant process started in August.
